Nestled right along Maskuta Creek, the site offers 14 campsites in a peaceful, natural setting with plenty of trail access in the surrounding area. This is a no-hookup, no-frills campground — perfect for groups, families, and anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. Good to Know
Group bookings only — Maskuta Creek is booked as a whole campground. All 14 sites, the shelter, and the communal field are yours for the duration of your stay. Perfect for family reunions, group camping trips, and events.
No hookups — There are no power, water, or sewer connections. Bring your own water supply.
Creek access — The campground sits right on Maskuta Creek. Great for wading, fishing, and enjoying the sound of running water from your site.
Trail network — Multiple trails lead from the campground into the surrounding forest. Great for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife watching.
Limited cell service — Coverage can be spotty. Plan ahead and let people know you may be off the grid.
Each site includes parking for up to 2 vehicles. Additional vehicles beyond 2 are $10 each.

Welcome to the Hinton Municipal Campground! We hope you enjoy your stay. To help keep the campground safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these rules:
🏕 Campground Rules
1.All campers must register before occupying a campsite. Online booking is available. Campers without reservations must complete registration upon arrival.
2.Fires are permitted in designated fire pits only.
3.Keep your campsite clean and free of garbage.
4.Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
5.Please respect other campers and campground staff.
6.Firearms are not permitted within the campground.
7.Liquor is allowed only within your registered campsite and must comply with Alberta laws.
8.Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Dogs must be leashed outside of your campsite and owners must clean up after their pets.
9.Speed limit within the campground is 15 km/h.
10.Please leave your campsite in clean condition upon departure.
11.Excessive noise, disorderly behaviour, vandalism, or damage to campground property will not be tolerated.
12.Guests are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party and visitors.
13.Use of generators may be restricted during quiet hours.
14.Check-out time is 11:00 AM.

Hinton Bike Park
A network of cross-country and downhill mountain biking trails for all skill levels, right in town. Bring your bike along! The trails connect to a wider network that winds through the forest — a great way to spend a morning.
A beautiful 3 km boardwalk winding through wetlands where you can spot beavers, birds, and other wildlife — especially at dusk. Fully accessible and perfect for families. A favourite of visitors and locals alike.
Just steps from the campground. Includes a pool, fitness centre, arena, and drop-in programs for all ages. The adjacent Hinton Municipal Library offers free WiFi, kids' programs, and a quiet spot to recharge.
A short walk from the campground. Catch the latest movies on a rainy evening — a great backup plan when the weather doesn't cooperate. Affordable tickets and popcorn, family-friendly showings.
Guided horseback rides along the Athabasca River and up into the foothills with stunning mountain views. A truly memorable experience for all ages — many visitors say it's the highlight of their trip. Book ahead in summer.
Get your adrenaline going with a zipline experience through the treetops overlooking the Rockies. Great for thrill-seekers and a unique way to see the landscape from above. Reservation only — book ahead.
About 10 minutes west of Hinton, right at the edge of Jasper National Park. A taproom with 12 craft beers on tap, a full kitchen, and an incredible mountain-view patio. Dogs welcome on the patio. A must-visit after a day on the trails.
An 18-hole public course nicknamed "The Enchanted Forest" — tree-lined fairways with stunning mountain views. Driving range, clubhouse restaurant with a panoramic deck, and club rentals available. A great way to spend a day off the trails.
About an hour west of Hinton. A UNESCO World Heritage Site with glaciers, turquoise lakes, incredible hiking, and abundant wildlife. Don't miss Maligne Lake, Athabasca Falls, and the Icefields Parkway. A Parks Canada pass is required.
Hinton is a full-service town with everything you need during your stay. You'll find grocery stores, gas stations, cafes, restaurants, and local boutiques all within a short drive or walk. Grab a coffee at one of the local cafes, browse the shops downtown, or pick up supplies for your next campfire dinner. There are also banks, a pharmacy, a hospital, and other essential services — so even though you're in the mountains, you're never far from what you need.
Hinton is about a 3-hour drive from Edmonton and 5 hours from Calgary, making it an easy weekend getaway. You can also reach Hinton by VIA Rail train for a scenic journey through the Rockies.

We'll refund 50% of your booking total. The remaining 50% helps us cover the held site.

Unfortunately, cancellations within 72 hours of check-in are non-refundable.
Good to Know
💳Your reservation is only confirmed once payment has been received. Until then, the site may become available to other campers.
🛌No-shows and early departures are non-refundable. If your plans change during your stay, please let us know — but unused nights cannot be refunded.
🔄Reservations may not be transferred to another person or group without prior approval from campground management.
⛈️In cases of emergencies or severe weather, management may issue refunds at its discretion. We always try to work with our guests when unexpected situations arise.
